Nationwide Promotion of Flame-Retardant Wire and Cable Technologies and Applications

According to a report by International Power Network: Following the special seminar on flame-retardant cable technology held in Hefei at the end of April, on May 29, Wantai Technology brought its latest technologies and expertise in flame-retardant cables to Harbin, where it shared with local industry professionals insights into the application and technical challenges associated with CMP high-flame-retardant cables.

At the meeting, Ye Junhao, Product Manager of the Shanghai Branch of DuPont China Group Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote report on “The Impact of Cable Material Selection on the Fire-Resistance Performance of Local Area Network Cables.” His presentation provided a detailed explanation and discussion, covering everything from the material composition used in manufacturing local area network cables, to the analysis of their structural and molecular configurations, and further to the criteria for assessing the fire-resistance performance of individual local area network cables, as well as methods for describing the flame-retardant properties of these cables.

Wan Zhikang, an expert consultant from the Structured Cabling Working Group, delivered an engaging presentation on “The Application and Technology of Flame-Retardant Cables in Structured Cabling.” He provided a detailed introduction to the product characteristics and technical specifications of CMP flame-retardant cables—the highest-grade cables currently recognized under fire safety standards.

Subsequently, experts and participating delegates engaged in further interactive discussions on technical issues related to cable fire-retardant and flame-retardant performance. Currently, the issue of cable fire retardancy has attracted increasing attention within the industry and has become a key topic of concern for users, design firms, and integrators.

As CMP-rated cables with high flame-retardant performance gain increasing adoption in real-world projects, Wantai Technology—being an innovator and leader in the industry—is placing even greater emphasis on promoting the application and technology of fire-resistant and flame-retardant products. It is reported that exchange activities centered around this topic will be held on a nationwide tour, with the next stop scheduled for Jinan.

It also aims to strengthen communication and collaboration with international organizations, relevant government ministries and departments, and related institutions.
